E-book Inclusive Education Framework : A Guide for Schools on the Inclusion of Pupils with Special Educational Needs
The framework should be viewed as a school development planning tool to promote the inclusion of pupils with special educational needs. Information gathered when using it can inform school development planning activities by highlighting inclusion issues that need to be addressed. Schools will find the framework useful in demonstrating their progress towards the implementation of the principles of inclusion. Engagement with the framework may heighten awareness of the professional development needs of staff in the area of special education and may prompt schools to request guidance and support from the school support services under the aegis of the Department of Education and Skills, or to seek accredited specialist training for teachers from colleges of education or
universities.
