Blambangan, that was the name of the kingdom located at the eastern end of Java Island. In the beginning of the 14th century,
Blambangan Kingdom was ruled by King Menak Sembuyu, one of the descendants of Prabu Hayam Wuruk of Majapahit. King
Menak Sembuyu had a wife and a daughter named Dewi Sekardadu. A few days after the birth of Dewi Sekardadu, Blambangan
people flocked to the royal palace to see their newborn princess. They were very curious with the beauty of the little princess who
was said to be very charming. From a distance, the king’s face could be seen alighted with joy.
